- @Asgo - I can see what you mean about the Minotaur. However, if you look closely, his right hand isn't holding his clothes, but a human skull. It's just a coincidence of position and colour. Of course, you could easily modify/paint yours accordingly...
ah too bad, would have been a nice commentary on the question: do monsters need cloths?

| It would have been. Also, on the age-old question of whether Minotaurs took showers. | |

| I tend to think "not", I doubt the labyrinth had running water and if it had the king probably would have put it up for rent as prime living space instead of leaving it to a Mini - declaring own needs in the renting dispute. | |

| I expect a Minotaur would be a tricky tenant to evict though. | |

The central part of the labyrinth (where the Minotaur was) had no roof - that's actually how Dedale and Icare escaped ! So nothing to impede the Minotaur from taking a shower under the rain !

THIS is the result of mixing metalic paints with flesh. I did it with that Kosatral Khel because it is suposed to be some kind of metal golem. In this mini I mixed gold with flesh and some silver highlights and flesh and slightly greened inks. Perhaps you could use lighter colours such as gallejo old gold (very yellowy) and orange inks with light flesh.

| Great stuff peps!
Can you share your approach for the hydra's scales? It is difficult to tell how deep the textures are on the original sculpture - I'm trying to figure how to keep the nice, crisp definition between scales.

| I must say I am drooling! The Hydra is awesome! I am not one for the brown mino and love that someone else went a different paint scheme. Each and everyone of the minis looks beautiful. I am so jealous of your painting abilities. I hope i can do these minis the justice they deserve as you have. | |

The idea and the result of mixing flesh and metallic is so cool. It makes me think about using different metallic colours depending on the god: deep gold for Appolo, light gold for Athena, light metal for Hades, copper for Ares... Quite sad that I don't have minis to spare for testing. I have some little zombies from the not so good Zombies!!! game, but the scults won't fit. I guess I will try on them.

Scales are very well sculpted, so this is not so hard to have a good render. To be honest, I never utilize the drybrush, I feel that it makes the mini dull. And I don't master that technique, also That's one of he reasons why I don't like painting big monsters. Because without drybrushing, it takes so much time !!! But for the Hydra (so impressive mini!) I resigned to come back to drybrush after decades without practicing... I first applied the base, then inked all the hydra, insisting on the darkest areas. And after that I drybrushed with clearer and clearer mixes of my base with another green and finally with white. After that I added the blue and purple and worked on these colors (mainly by highlighting them, finishing with pure white).

| Has anyone figured out yet how many miniatures in each category we will be receiving if we have the God pledge + KS exclusives, and all the expansions and secondary models kits. I ordered everything except the remodeled Aphrodite . I'm just looking for a good unit total for each set of purchases. | |

| PEPS : thanks for the sharing.
It looks like Atlas took a hell of a beating ! (multiple slashing wounds) Imagine how powerful he would be at full strength !!!
Ulysse/Odysseus looks amazing. Your color scheme with royal blue and white is great. I understand why it is one of your favorite.
