Heracles Too Powerful?

Anyone think that Heracles is OP with his re-roll ability, movement speed, and defense?

I think he would be more balanced if his re-roll only worked when he attacks and not when he is attacked. With a defense so high, it doesn't make sense that he should be allowed to re-roll for attacks made against him.

Also, when throwing a tree or boulder it seems that it shouldn't apply either because those attacks are already so devastating.

The way he is currently, he should be the first character out of the draft every time when using the core set.

Maybe re-roll up to 3 dice by turn (any turn) would be better.

Note that herculean strength was nerfed down a little bit : range 3 --> range 2.

I believe his move also is 1 instead of 2 (as for any human).

I just realized that (non-veteran) Heracles do not have the Mighty Throw talent. It seems wrong (Achilles have it for instance so it is not reserved for monsters)

Where did you learn about the reduction to movement? I think that would really help him balance out. Whenever we've played, he is always a surprise because he is on the table and then in your face causing certain death, whereas Achilles is worthless in that he comes onto the board and then takes forever to get anywhere and then is a sitting duck until you recycle your deck.

I hope they've considered Heracles' talents, stats and powers prior to sending his dashboard to print.

Carefull guys, you judge him by an old dashboard (with the talent of Leonidas in fact...).

The real one is the following one with 2 corrections^^ (speed 1 / herculean strenght reach is 2)

@ Adam Adam : trust me, I participated to the last MBP tournament where the speed of Heracles was 1. (The reduction of "herculean strength" is new, since BoW last video in fact).

[for info. Atalanta speed is 2. It's the only Hero at this speed, except Centaurs/Icarus /Perseus]

Mighty Throw, Block and Leader according to the dashboard Tepes posted.

Force of Nature is for the Veteran Herakles - this makes him even better at throwing things as it gives him range 3 (veteran has range 2 + 1 with FoN) and 9-dice attack (attack 8 + 1 with FoN).

I am a bit surprised that Veteran Herakles did not get something more to do with the Nemean Lion hide he is wearing (he has a bit more defense but not so much as he remains with 8 at 7-6-5 vitality).

I thought the dashboard Tepes posted was the outdated version. It still has his speed as 2 and range for the tree throw power at 3.

i think maybe instead of reroll 3 dice it could be reroll 5 results or reroll 2 dice not sure which would be better but 3 is high

Good for her - it makes her more interesting. However, I believe there is a few more fast-speed units (non-monster) :
(heroes sorted by recruitment cost)
- Icarus, Move 2, Flying, 1 RP
- Atalanta, Move 2, 2 RPs
- Autolycus, Move 2, 2RPs
- Chiron, Move 2, 3 RPs
- Perseus, Move 2, 4RPs
- Veteran Achilles, Move 2 , 5 RPs
- Belerophon, Move 2, Flying, 5 RPs
Troops with Move 2 :
- Centaurs, Wolves (Pigs !), Harpies (+ flying), Hellhounds, Artemis's Hounds, Satyrs, Stymphalian Birds (+ flying) (& Sirens on water).

Heracles has a movement of 1, and a range of 2 for the Heraclean Strength power.

His talents are Mighty Throw, Leader, and Block.

As with most of the other top tier Greek heroes, you could easily argue for half a dozen different talents. Lots of stories to pick from
