PostSubject: Hi from Japan   1st January 2017, 12:20 am

Howdy! This is my first post in this Good Place!
I'm a Japanese. Thus I am not a native English speaker. I’m sorry if my expression is not understandable in my upcoming posts.

Hi Lopyod,

Thanks.

Thank you all!

I wish I would have a chance to play MBP with backers who live in Japan.

For the time being, I'll try to translate rules and etc into Japanese (maybe after finishing the update of beta rules ver 2.X).

Thanks, Lopyod! I live in the place near Kawasaki. I'll go to Shinagawa around 30 min by train.
Well, I also hope your help in translation and I wish the translation would help to increase the players of MBP in Japan.

Hi Guys,
I'm based in Nagano in Japan - currently enjoying the snow while waiting for my pledged MB:P.

I am British so an English native, but I plan to mostly play with my son who is more comfortable with Japanese so am also keen to see a translation that increases the popularity of MB:P here in Japan.

Yoroshiku.

Hi Marcus,
Thank you for your response!
Now I've finished beta rules 2.8 and dashboard texts. I will update it when the new version will be released. I'll make them public via dropbox in the future (maybe, when the beta rules update will finish).

Here is a sample of translated dashboard:

The card size may be 63.5 x 88mm. Thus the font size is small...

I do not know when Mythic Games will upload the updated dashboard, but when it will be posted, I'm going to re-translate them and upload.

Ryo

Thanks!

Another sample:

When I finish the translation of updated rules and dashboards. I'll post them as PDF files. But it will take a little bit time to do.

I agree -- they are looking great. Not only the translation but the layout (paste-up) looks amazing.

I don't think the small font will be an issue -- it is perfectly readable and since the Japanese font is regular width it is easier to read than the compresses English font at the same vertical size.

I looked at the 2.8 rules but have not even fully read and understood them yet, so a long way from being ready to help with translation. If I can help going forward please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks! Your comments cheer me.

When I upload translations, I'm glad if you could compare Japanese translation and English/French ones to find my mistranslations. Your help will improve its quality, I believe.

When the time comes, I'd like to call for your help here!

Please keep paying attention to this forum.

Thanks for your comments!

I've finished to translate v2.9.

I uploaded the file here:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7885988/Mythic%20Battles%20Pantheon%20Beta%20Rule%20v2.9.pdf

Also, I'll post a new thread at "Mythic Battles: Pantheon/Resources/". Hereafter, I'll let you know the release of the latest files there.

Thanks!

Thanks for your offer! I'm looking forward to your feedback.

By the way, I added the date of revision to the post at Resources. When I amend my translation, I will rewrite the date below the url. I hope you would know whether your downloaded file is the latest or not.

Best wishes,
Ryo
