Diomedes and Area attacks

Hi, I was wondering how Dimodes powers to ignore any gods abilities interact with area attacks from gods?
For example Athenas Owl, Zeus lightning or even Pans Panic.

Does he just ignore the damage? And in case of Pans Panic, does he count for the other units in his area to calculate the damage?

I would think Diomedes would ignore all of them. as the update suggest, Doom of the Gods makes many of the common plans for dealing with enemies simply not work. They just have to resort to killing him the old fashioned way.

Okay, I was just wondering as the power doesn't really target him, but the area he is standing in...
Ty, but then the question about Pans Panic remains...does he count for the attack at all or is he just ignored for the total damage?
(PS: If you are playing Aphrodite, Hecate, Here or Persephone and he is in the pool you are kind of forced to hatedraft him...he definitely makes the drafts more interesting!)
