| Hi everyone,
Rules say that you need to spend an activation card of a unit to make it enter the battlefiled, and it feels a bit like a waste especially for the 3AP Units. You cannot do much with them before your unit is stuck waiting for the deck recycle.
So I'm thinking of a home rule like this - to enter the field with a unit you need to have its activation card on hand and to show it to your oppenent but don't have to actually spend it. Just show it and keep it in your hand for future use. I expect that it can help to speed up the game and possibly make it more intense from the beggining.
What do you think about it?

| Artur, I had a similar idea. I agree with the fact that we seem to "waste" an activation card and slow the game accodringly. We kind ofhinder an omphalos victory in the first cycle ofcards too. I would be in favor of just deploying one unit you want for free at each turn not even requesting to show its card. Another option may be to deploy a certain number of points... One god or 1 monster + 2 troops or 2 heroes etc. etc. Waht do you think? | |

| Hi Trollnomiste,
Yes, I think it is a simpler and better approach - to deploy 1 unit per turn for free. And probably spend an AoW card and deploy the second unit in the same turn. It will also let us deploy less popular/powerful units to the field without risking to loose some momentum.
In the battle reports I saw and in a couple of PnP games I played some units (mostly Troops) never made their way to the board which is a pitty. You are just pushed to use what you already have in the midgame as you cannot afford to deploy a unit far from the action in the middle of the board.

| Sorry for my english, I am tired.
I don't like your method guys. I understand you prefer a faster and easyer game but that game is already very fast and easy, enough for me. If I don't have what I want in hand, I like to choose between keep AoW cards for powers, or use them to look for more cards to deploy my units faster. If I have less choice to do, too simple for me.

| Yep ! Personally I don't like the idea of wasting cards just for deploying units. I is slowing the game and increasing the luck factor for no good reason. I will test both... | |
