PostSubject: A bit late... is there no way?   8th January 2017, 4:36 am

Hi! I just discovered this awesome game today, just to found out I´ve missed the Kickstarter Campaign. Is there no chance at all to get the 99 bucks deal with the stuff on kickstarter? And if not, what will be released in the core game box in stores? Are the non-exclusive kickstarter stretch goals included or is there no stretch goals in that core game box? I reaallyy want this game with the stretch goals miniatures so I´m thankful for answers!

They may allow some sort of late backer pledge.

Exactly. I believe they did so with Conan so I wouldn't dispair yet! ;-)

I for one welcome late backer pledges, although with the caveat that they be shipped out after all the original backers.

At least not before .... Cool

Usually everything happens in one wave, though. My complaint is that the US of A backers very often get the game 1-2 months before RoW.
Which can be really annoying.

@Leonidas : How can you make difference beetween late backers and regular one ? What will be the difference ?

If there are no differences, i really hope you will send us the game IN TIME (december 2017 or before)...
If you want to keep our "Trust" for the next pantheon and put your firm on the very high TOP.
You seem be really on time actually, and you said even more in time, so that would be pitty to lose this opportunity to increase your firm image =))

@sebbet99 did they say anything else in the message about what items would or wouldn't be included in the late pledge? Hopefully they will offer the same packages but i also understand what garshell is saying that it could cause delays. Perhaps they might have an "early bird" late backer (sounds funny) where they will offer the same packages, with all ks exclusives, for only the first week of the pm. But after that week, you would still be able to purchase the packages but with no ks exclusives. But who knows what will happen.

Well, in 2 projects, that's the second time they announce no late pledges during the campaign and then change their minds for the PM. So, we know that for the next one that any declaration/promise of no late pledge will have no value either.
At least, there were some talks to differentiate KS pledges from late pledges, we'll see what come of it (probably nothing...).
For clarification, I have no problem with late pledges, just don't promise no late pledge during the campaign to boost it when you don't intend to stick with the decision. The amounts obtained in both campaigns so far prove you don't need it.

And on a side note, does anyone know when the next leo live is? I know he said they would announce the pledge manager date then and also if Conan was going to be available to purchase. And if i recall, i think he said they would try to do another live before the party this Friday.

Late backers are fine with me and I'd rather Monolith didn't get bogged down trying to figure out which ones need to shipped before other ones. Just ship it all in one go as close to Dec 2017 as possible. If a late backer gets their pledge before me then c'est la vie.

So to make the difference, why not offer Titan or Typhon pledge only, and if they want only the base that will be without KS exculive ! =)
This late pledge is already a "Late pledge exclusive" after all.

=) in fact i care only about delay... If i got the game in TIME, that will be nice.

Because I want as many people as possible to get on board. It's not zero sum. Late pledgers getting stuff doesn't affect what I get, but it does mean more people have the game, which is good for me.

I understand your point, don't worry, i want more player too, but those player will take this game in store id they didn't have access to Late pledge.
But maybe you don't care about having your stuff month later December...

Not all those people will buy at retail. If the chance is missed to get a God pledge now they will move on. Has there been anything at all from Monolith to say that allowing late pledgers means the campaign will ship late?

Offering only the titan and typhon bundles would actually be a good idea if they went the route of making a slight change for late backers. That way hypothetically everyone would have a chance at still receiving everything but at a cost. And It sounded pretty convincing in the last update that there would be a difference what the late pledgers received compared to original backers. I just hope that not too many people are deterred from buying the game if thats the case. Hopefully someone from the monolith or mythic team can clarify this for us in the coming days.

Let them pledge.
Of course, original backers should have their game first. Eventually, don't send the Pandora box to late pledgers. Like this, original backers could say, "I was there during the campaign". But that's enough, I want a lot of gamers. If you have a lot of late pledgers, you could add one or some stretchgoals. It's good for your image and for the community, original backers would welcome late pledgers.

I am expecting a delay, experience with boardgames on kickstarter is that there is always a delay. I hope they can keep it to a minimum but i wouldnt expect the game in 2017 you might get disappointed. To MB:P i would say keep communication on this clear and dont generate expectation of a certain date or even before that date untill it is 100% confirmed, i would keep a save margin in play for delays.

I didn't know they wrote that so thanks for the update Telgar. But now these three days are about to be really slow.

I don't see how letting late pledgers in is going to risk delaying the campaign. Monolith were confident enough in their Dec 2017 date to never waver from it and I doubt that would have changed if an additional thousand backers had got on board during the campaign, so I don't see how it would change if they get on board during the pledge manager. In fact, the biggest risk to delaying the campaign by allowing late backers is by treating them differently. If you ship them last, or give them a different product, then you add logistical steps to fulfillment, which is where delays happen.

Simply put, I want the absolute maximum number of people to get Mythic Battles: Pantheon. I believe in the game and I believe if people get it they will love it. The more people who get it, the more people will play it, the more successful the game will be, the more chances I will get to play. The best way to maximise the number of people is to allow late pledgers and not penalise them with either less product or more expensive product, as that will just put some people off. Shipping them last after pledgers during the campaign is fine as long as it doesn't create an extra logistical step during fulfillment. No-one benefits from that.

Also, I don't feel like I'm anything special just because I knew about the campaign when it happened instead of a month or two later. Why penalise anyone for finding out about it a little later, or only being able to know they can afford it a little later? How does that benefit me as a backer of the campaign? Nor is it the case that allowing late pledgers to get the same product at the same price will put people off pledging during the campaign. CMON are ample proof of that.

Late pledgers are a good thing IMO and we should do all we can to get them on board. We all benefit from them.

I think the general attitude (rightly or wrongly, I don't judge) is that late backers didn't contribute to the success of the KS campaign so why should they be rewarded like original backers?

I will judge lol. I think it's wrongly. We all benefit from maximising the number of backers, whether during the campaign or late pledgers. We, as backers during the campaign, literally get nothing by penalising later backers, we just make sure they get less to everyone's detriment. We are cutting our nose off to spite our face if we impose sanctions on late backers. I realise we're an international bunch so I hope the expression makes sense Smile
