These times, I have unearthed my painting material (some of it completely dry) and felt like painting again.

I will share here some of my work. Please indulge with my limited skill...

Santa was kind this year and brought me the Conan retail game santa

Here are my first painted mini... Red team !

This is my first painting out of the Conan box Wink

I believe last time I painted some minis (before a few weeks ago) was december 1998 (2 weeks down period between 2 jobs).
These last weeks, I practiced on Descent. I will post these as well...

I have a similar layer of rust on my painting. Can't remember when I last painted anything, though it was probably a similar length of time. And you're back on track, which I'm still not.

Well done Telgar!

Nice job Telgar. I like the coloration on the Hyenas.

I actually like the bossonnian archers, despite what you said about faces. Though I do have to say that the part I like best is the helmet. My attempts on adding a touch of blue to metal had always end in failures. Sad

Cool Descent minis. I've actually painted some of those for my friend. My friend told me that his sister and nephew are snobby now and won't play with unpainted heroes Smile

Thanks. I wish I could take credit for the blue metal effect but it's just a single paint (AP claymore steel) and probably some reflecting effect.

Indeed, I have the same issue : I prefer playing with painted mini so I have to progress on painting the whole Conan Box ! ;-)

I post again my Conan red team with the yellow cast neutralized (skin tone is more accurate):

And here are some pictures of the first hero I painted on Conan : Bêlit

I don't know why I thought this was an easy mini to start with...

Latests work from this week:

Descent = the Ettins

And Conan = the Marsh Demon

Really easy to work with, the mini has so much details, you just need to let the paint reveal them.

Thanks.
1 - Black primer and zenithal white primer.
2 - Base color = strong green
3 - Wash = flesh wash (2 times as I found it too light)
4 - highlight in base green color (as wash darkened it a little)
5 - 2nd highlight in light green (very visible on the photos with flash & macro lens - more discrete to the naked eye)
6 - matt varnish except for the eye & blood

LOL, seeing Shevatas right next to your avatar of Kratos, I can help but feel that Shevatas needs some war paint Smile
